AtteranExplorationLog 002

[click] This is Head Science Officer Key, reporting to the Avian fleet on the unknown signal. Days ago, the Caelum received a signal of unknown origin. The frequency was transmitted in a language unknown to our databases. This meant that we could have the potential to discover a new form of intelligent life. As such, we tracked to signal to a small planetoid, Atteran. I say planetoid, because this object is deceptive. It is an artificial planet, with a thin outer crust and a hollow metal core. This appears to be similar to a Dyson Sphere, a massive structure created to harvest energy from a star, except this was used to harvest energy from the planet itself. Upon descending to the surface, we flew low in an attempt to locate the signal, with no luck. The signal was strong, but coming from a point deep within the planet's core. Two members of the science team and I decided to investigate further. The inner sanctum of the planet was unnerving. The metallic framework seemed to shift with the movement of the planet, as if it were a living, breathing, object. Strange spores drifted through the air. They are harmless, but we all took appropriate precautions. The source of the signal was found after hours of searching. A massive starliner of unknown affiliation, rammed into the ground as if it were thrown from the sky. The steel interior of the planet had begun eating up the corpse of the ship, tearing through the outer hull. Even more unnerving, there was no signs of life from within. The signal must have been a call for aid. It seems we are too late. At this point, our team felt deeply disturbed. We all knew something awful had happened here. We did not want to bring this back to our crew... There is a terrible beast that sleeps within this hollow shell, but I fear that we are still in the dark. This planetoid is classified as an extreme danger. Do not engage. [click] || A lot of this lore is from the amazing story written by @Tellurium || @Paworlds #PlanetAtteran
